HOUSE OF HOLLAND AW15 COLLECTION REVIEW
House of Holland Launched in 2008 by Designer Henry Holland.
With Graphic Iconic Logo T Shirts like , “I’ll Tell you who’s Boss, Kate Moss!” House of Holland is known for Playful, Bold Clothes that make you Smile 🙂
Their AW15 Collection entitled “Uptown Funk” is inspired by Twentieth Century Cult Sci-Fi Movies such as Fifth Element and Bladerunner. The runway is edged with Hazard Tape. The models have 1 Bold, Black Brush-stroke horizontally through the centre of their yelids portraying a Dark, Tough, Moody Vibe. As if in Uniform, they all wear Black Satin Scarves tied round their Necks, Black Tights and Chunky Black Boots.
The Catwalk is replaced by a Trend Travelator, a conveyor belt that transports the Static models along the Runway. The models Glide, one after another, Powerful, almost like Motionless Statues.
The House of Holland AW15 Collection Trends Big, Bold Graphic Prints such as Chevrons, Hazard Stripes, Gingham, Squares and Holland’s signature Modern Tartan Twists. These patterns are Twinned with Luxurious Textures of Mongolian Shearling, Furs, Satin and Leather. Shades of Marsala are teamed Bright, Vibrant Colours. The designer’s Eye-wear is big Bold and Futuristic.
Henry Holland’s House of Holland AW15 Collection is an Unexpected Diversion from what we are used to seeing, it’s not quite as Loud, Humorous or Bubbly. However, his Experimentation with Bold Combinations of Patterns and Textures do Visually Create a Fun and Vibrant Collection that is Faithful to the Brand.
Excitingly Anticipating House of Holland’s SS16 Collection, Rumoured to be Retro, Punk and 70s Inspired…
